There are those relationships where you can just talk to someone after months or years, and the flow that existed in the past, still remains.
Then, there are some other relationships where you could have spent a lot of time with someone in the past, but struggle to hold a short conversation with them in the present.

Ironies.

I was up pretty late last night (4am), but Major league was on TV, and it made staying up that late worth it. However now, I have the lyrics of "Wild Thing" stuck in my head.

Dear All,

I have just a few non live journal readers, but they are probably the most precious ones I have. I've been contemplating switching this journal to friends only because it adds a layer of security. Sometimes I write about work, and such topics shouldn't be floating around freely on the Internet for anyone to read. Hence, I'm tempted to convert this journal to a friend's only journal, but want to accommodate my non lj readers.

My easiest solution would be to get a LJ account yourself; it's free, and you can read all my entries, and also keeps the journal away from prying eyes; but is there another solution?

Thoughts?

Since when did going to a movie at 10:15 on a Wednesday night start to be considered a CRAZY idea?

I must be growing old! However, I watched Juno yesterday, and I liked it. Also, Olivia Thirlby is really good looking!!!

Lately, I've really started to like to listen to Wyclef Jean and Alicia Keys and really like both those styles. Sarah's probably going to scoff, but,eh

106 on the course today. A personal best, and the closest I've gotten to hitting a birdie.

These new irons are working out really well for me.

I SCORED. I SCORED!

Indoor soccer games are 6 on 6. However, when we started our game we played 4 on 6. And that continued for the entire first half! I was playing keeper, and made 2 real dumb mistakes. Later on during the 2nd half, we played 5 on 6 but changed our strategy a little bit so I was playing forward for a bit, and I scored a goal!

We ended up winning by 2 in an exhausting game, but scoring a goal totally made my day!

I think I might have a hairline fracture on my foot. I got stepped on during soccer yesterday, and 24 hours later, the area around my 1st cuneiform is still swollen. If this doesn't improve by tomorrow, I will be getting an xray.

However, I doubt this is as bad as it feels right now. And, it better heal by Friday. I have back to back indoor soccer games with my new team(s).

First, The Public Enemy is on TV. I thought I would never see that movie after I watched it at the ILC that one time. Somehow, I thought it was a silent movie though. Hmmm

But, on Tuesday, I went on a 50ish mile drive. I decided to go west? on 1431. The 1431 hits the TX 29 at Buchanan Dam, so I figured it would be a quicker way to the house than taking the 29 itself for anyone driving to Austin to visit. However, 12:40at night is the wrong time to be driving on this road. After a while, this road turns into a windy 1 lane road, with no traffic, with a lot of trees on both, which look really eerie when there is a strong breeze. I kept thinking of Macbeth the whole time, because it almost felt like the trees were moving.

To conclude, 1431 isn't better than taking the 29....But it is more scenic!

Today the Ampjape went to a bar 1.3 miles from our house called "The Dig". I love that bar; it has knowledgeable women bar tenders, good sandwiches, and good beer. They actually let you taste beer in little goblets and you can buy a glass if you like it.

But, on to the interesting part!

This random lady who was probably 40, kinda drunk decided that she was going to talk to me for a while. I like normal was nice to her. But I decided that I would strike up the most boring conversation with her; "What was her opinion of online gambling?", I asked. She didn't have much of a response other than a wide smile...I made her feel better by saying, eh, I like Vegas better anyways, to which she agreed. She left me alone for a little bit but then decided she wanted to talk to me again. Ugh. This took away from my relaxing, "I just finished a 6 month project, and want to be left alone". So then I talked to her about Austin and Dallas and random stuff until the bartender let me know how much I owed the bar, so I could leave.

Phew! I really thought when I left tucson, I was done with this older woman business. But this is the 2nd time in a month, so apparently, moving hasn't changed this as much as I wanted to.

Have phone conversations like this:

Me: "Hey, what are you doing?"
Them: "Oh, not much...insert pretty much anything here...
Me: Awesome. Wanna go get lunch/dinner/a drink
Them: Yeh right. You live in Austin.
Me: True, but put on some clothes, I'll be there in 10 mins.
Them: No way.

This weekend was fun. But I am sad I missed my soccer game.

I know I shouldn't have played a tennis game today. But, it is all good because I won! 6-0, and 7-5 (saving 2 set points). Apparently, the NI playoffs will be held all in 1 day. I am looking forward to them, and plan to win the beginners division.

While there is good news, there is also bad news; I'll be missing the championship game this weekend because I'll be in Tucson; but, I think I am alright with that...

My legs are incredibly tired, and just want some down rest; but i am encouraged that I can play 2 back to back soccer games, run a mile and 2 tennis games in 4 days.

I need to pack, but its past midnight.
